Sports and Recreation in Parker

Parker residents view recreational facilities, parks, open space, and trails as some of the most prized amenities they enjoy. The goal of the Recreation Department is to offer a place for everyone to play in Parker.

The Town is proud to be the home of award-winning recreation facilities.  Since the Recreation Center opened in 1994, it has been busy keeping up with the expectations of the rapidly growing community.  In 2007, the Town opened the doors to the Parker Fieldhouse, a 1000,000 square foot sports and fitness facility.

Parker residents also enjoy the Colorado Horse Park - home to a number of equestrian events including top hunter/jumper, dressage, and eventing competitions during the spring, summer, and fall seasons. The facility also includes annual boarding for over 100 horses.

In the winter, residents enjoy the Parker Ice Trail at Discovery Park - a meandering trail reminiscent of a frozen river that winds its way through the park. Fire pits and hot chocolate help skaters to stay warm!

In the summer there are many activities to enjoy, including taking a trip to the Dog Park and Disc Golf Course. Year round, Parker has something for everyone!
