Arapahoe County aerospace company says pandemic hasn’t grounded quest to produce electric airplanes

George Bye’s mission to make it easier for aspiring pilots by providing less costly, electric training planes is still on track despite being temporarily grounded by the coronavirus pandemic.
Bye, chairman and CEO of Bye Aerospace, isn’t discouraged by the nosedive in air travel as the virus has spread, causing airlines that were once scrambling to find new pilots to consider drastic workforce cuts. He says depending on the progress with treatments and a vaccine for COVID-19, it will likely take two to three years for the airline industry to recover.
