Incentives & Financing
The Economic Development team is here to support your decision to locate, expand or retain your business in Parker. The following is a list of the available business incentive programs. All Town of Parker Business Incentives and Programs are subject to the availability of funding.
Starting January 1, 2016, the Town of Parker had received a state designated Enterprise Zone. This allows for relocating or expanding businesses additional State incentives. The Enterprise Zone is limited to a specific area of Parker. Investments by companies within the Enterprise Zone earn tax credits on their Colorado income tax for economic development activities.
Tax & Fee Assistance Program (TAP)
The purpose of the Tax and Fee Assistance Program is to encourage the recruitment, retention, establishment or expansion of businesses and employers within the Town through a sales tax and/or fee share back as may be provided for in the TAP Ordinance (8.27).
Parker Capital Project Grant (for existing businesses)
The Town's Parker Capital Project Grant Program may provide a reimbursement grant of up to 50% of the costs of a qualifying project in an amount up to $5,000 per business or multi-tenant building per year. The purpose of the program is to help existing eligible property and small business owners with improvements that will:
- Result in creation and retention of jobs
- Increase sales revenue
- Upgrade the appearance of existing storefronts/building facades
To qualify for this program, a business must:
- Be located within the Town limits
- Have a valid Town of Parker Business/Sales Tax license for at least 12 months
Small Business Scholarship Program (for existing businesses)
Parker provides a Small Business Scholarship Program which allows reimbursement of business training expenses to small and home-based business owners/employers with 25 or fewer employees. A business must be licensed and located within the Parker Town limits to qualify.
